The History of NOBLE CT

The Connecticut Chapter of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives was established January 1, 2010. Like the founders of their national body, black law enforcement executives in the state believed that there was a need for an organization that brought a more effective impact upon the criminal justice system within the state through a unified voice.

The founders of the Connecticut Chapter considered such relevant issues as the rate of crime in communities of color and the conditions that led to high crime rates and urban violence. They placed strong emphasis on insuring fairness in the administration of justice, stronger police-community relations, recruiting, hiring, promotion and retention of officers of color, and the unique issues facing black law enforcement executives.
